“From ward of the state to award-winning educator, speaker, and advocate, proof that your beginning does not define your future.”

If women are the seeds, then it is essential they know exactly what they’re made Dear Foster Me was created from both personal experience and a deep understanding of the gaps that exist within the foster care system.

As someone who entered foster care at just six months old, I know what it feels like to carry everything you own in a bag while entering a new home and an uncertain future. Like many children in foster care, all I truly wanted was to feel loved, safe, supported, and seen.

As I grew older, I began to recognize that many foster youth are missing the emotional support, guidance, mentorship, and stability they need in order to truly flourish. I also witnessed the lack of continued support available for many youth aging out of the system , often being expected to navigate adulthood alone without the resources or encouragement they deserve.

That reality stayed with me.

Dear Foster Me was created to bridge that gap.

This organization exists to remind foster youth that they are more than their circumstances. They are capable, worthy, loved, and filled with limitless potential. Through mentorship, community support, education, life skills, and advocacy, my mission is to ensure that children in foster care feel empowered to dream bigger and believe that anything is possible.
